Photography for Beginners: Understanding Your Camera and Visual Expression

Do to the unpredictable nature of COVID-19 and the risk related to having a group together this workshop has been postponed to Fall, 2021

Prerequisite: A proven willingness to play and take risks

What to bring: Camera with charged battery and SD card, tripod and operating manual

 *Location: St. Margaret’s Centre (12 Westwood Blvd, Upper Tantallon, NS)

**Duration: 8 weeks, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm (Saturdays, September 05 – November 07, 2020)

***Cost: $250.00 (Minimum 8 participants – Maximum 10)

Registration and fee payment due: Friday, July 31, 2020

****General Description: During this series of level one photography workshops you will learn the basic settings of your camera, the principles of image making, and begin to play with various techniques exploring the artist within.

By having ‘in class’ instruction (with your camera manual by your side), short field trips locally, prearranged meeting places for extended photography shoots and on sight guidance, assignments, and peer photograph reviews and visual literacy exercises, you will become intimate with your camera settings while playing with the concepts of photographic design.
